| A little about us... Beth and I consider our Labradors family. They are treated like some people treat their own children, they are loved and spoiled like they are the last dogs on earth. A friend of ours once said, “If there is such a thing as reincarnation, I want to come back as one of your dogs”........ I think that says it all.
I grew up hunting and fishing in the woods of New York and Canada. My family bred, raised and trained beagles for rabbits and blueticks for raccoons. As kids we were never really allowed to show affection or to treat the hunting dogs as family pets. We were always told that they were hunting dogs and should be treated as such. I guess that’s why I treat our dogs the way I do today.
Beth grew up riding, training and showing horses and she always had some type of dog by her side. Animals have always been a part of her life and always will be. Her father, the late Augustus “Duke” Chappell would say, “She has a natural way with animals, just like her grandfather" (Grover Cleveland Chappell). Her track record speaks for itself, all you have to do is look at her results as a horse trainer, results on the horse circuit and her results with dog training, it is really amazing. In the future we hope to have Banx and others who are also Service Dogs (hearing, assistance, etc.), in addition to being Therapy Dogs.
